Dear Reb Barry!
As long as many of the the representatives and members of Conservative and Reform movements support unfair tax redistribution that hurts Jewish American families by making them pay for the public school education they can't use in addition to having to pay out of their own pocket to educate their children to be faithful Jews you have no moral high ground to claim on these issues.
The laws of the Torah including the principle of dina demalchuta dina are not a suicide pact , they have many exceptions and caveats for dealing with governments that apply their taxation and other laws differently to Jews versus non Jews.
I maintain that there is no differnce between charging the Jews higher taxes and charging everyone the same taxes while offering socialized secular education.
To give you a a more clear example of such discrimination suppose the government would spend 25% of all the taxes collected to give away free cheeseburgers to everyone Jews and non Jews alike. And the supreme court would find for 60 years that to give away kosher equivalents to Jews would constitute forbidden entaglement between state and religion such government would forfeit the benefit of the principle that law of the land is valid according to the Torah as far as this law is concerned in the same way as if they would have decreed that Jews must pay 25% higher taxes than everyone else.
PS. I'm not even going to address the issue of the opinions of some contemporary scholars questioning the whole validity of dina demalchuta dina in a democratic state see the footnote here for example:
