Arutz-7 Interview on Making Aliyah

I was recently interviewed on a radio program on Arutz-7, Go’el Jasper’s "Aliyah Revolution."

I have to admit, when I was first contacted about the interview, I was a little skeptical — Arutz-7 is a notoriously right-wing outlet, and, frankly, I was wondering about what kind of treatment a Rabbis for Human Rights – member, Conservative rabbi would get.  My concerns it turns out were wholly unjustified — the host, Go’el Jasper, was articulate, thoughtful, respectful, and he even gave my blog a plug.

Some of his listeners, apparently are not quite so enlightened, as after my interview he got an IM wondering "what’s the deal with having heretics on the show!"  Notwithstanding the fact that there are those people out there in the audience, I’m glad I accepted the offer, and I hope at least one listener gained an appreciation of the fact that you don’t have to be Orthodox to love Israel and do mitzvot.  You can listen to the interview by clicking on the play button below.

  • I enjoyed listening to your interview. I think it’s great that
A/7 gives a voice to all kinds of Jews. Good luck with your aliyah.
